“IN THE NAME” is an abstract work composed of interwoven strips of newspaper, colours, sketches and fragments of quotations. The artist traces the dynamics of perceiving and processing a media-driven world that delivers news without pause. In the rapid flow of news, it is difficult to discern the truth of a report, its intent or the deliberate manipulation of what is said. Online, images and words disappear as quickly as they emerge.
In this work, she explores news as multilayered overlaps through her own distinctive language of marks and symbols, presenting the act of remembering through words and recording through sketches as a moment of existence.

Über
Suzanne Faltenbacher is an architect, artist and art director. After studying architecture and attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, she gained recognition for interdisciplinary projects in public spaces and for institutions and businesses. In 2000, she founded studioacht – Architecture Scenography & Art.
In the multifaceted work she develops with studioacht partner Daniel Kronwinkler, a seamless transition between architecture, scenography and art is central to every project. Many of their works feature original furniture, lighting and product designs. Branding for numerous brands is also integrated into the design process. Graphic designs are translated into architecture, often appearing as floor-to-ceiling compositions on wall surfaces.⠋
